Last week, I got an email in my inbox about a school that was offering a massive discount on their SAP training. I couldn’t resist the offer so I signed up for their SAP business Intelligence BI training.

Why SAP BI Training ?

Well, business intelligence is one of the core components of the SAP Netweaver suite. Netweaver is the technology behind all of SAP mySAP ERP Business suite. Every company wanting to implement mySAP ERP will have to have a Netweaver foundation. Are you getting my drift? It is all about positioning myself in the sweet spot of the SAP eco-system.

Anyway, I will be documenting my notes in a series of posts on this blog. You are welcome to follow and read along. If you register for my email tips newsletter, you will get a summary of all the lesson every week in your inbox. Let’s do this.

Look forward to hearing from you in this regard. Trying to get my feet wet in BI. Already downloaded Pentaho BI and Crystal Reports. Correct me if I am wrong but to me CR seems to be anything but BI. I am also going to download BO trial version just to tinker with it a bit. Have little bit of experience in Cognos Reportnet and Powerplay Studio. Hands on experience in extracting various DSS reports for KPI analysis on MS Excel using pivot table. Interested in TM1 and Query Studio and Report Studio. Got a fe

Hi Avik,

From what i gather you are into BI in general. Other companies also offer business intelligence solutions. Microsoft for example.
I am posting information about SAP business intelligence. Are you interested in BI in general or specifically SAP BI?
Cheers,
James

Hi James,

Thank you for blogging about SAP BI. Lately I have been seriously thinking about going for training (academy) and certification for the same. I have been working in IT as SAS analyst (among others) and wanting to shift to SAP. I can see a good future in BI for the same reasons you have stated. I just need to get over my fear of not getting placement after certification, given the amount of $ I have to shell out for the training.

This blog is an encouragement. Thanks for starting this.

Cheers,
Rhoda
